Kids: Need a quick gift for mom or grandma?

KIDS: NEED A QUICK GIFT FOR MOM OR GRANDMA?

MATERIALS NEEDED:


Colorful pipe cleaners (one package of mixed colors at your local craft store will do)
A few large plastic beads with a large hole for the centers. (Also one package will do)
Small amount, about the size of a small ball, of kids clay (no baking needed, Plast-i-clay ®)
A small container (applesauce or pudding cup works well)


INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Bend one green pipe cleaner; bend it to look like a leaf, leaving part of it for a stem. You can cut the pipe cleaners with a pair of scissors to make lengths of about 3 inches long



2. String a colored bead and place it on a different colored pipe cleaner.
3. Push the bead to the center of the pipe cleaner
4. Begin bending the pipe cleaner in loops to form the petals. The bead should be in the center.
5. Repeat with a couple more colors.
6. Take the green stem and poke through the flower near the center. Twist together.
7. Repeat until all of the flowers are attached to a stem.






8. Put a small amount of clay in your container (pot). If your container needs to be colored, you can use markers to color it. Or you can put stickers on it
9. Poke your flowers into the clay in the pot.
You now have a cute little pot of flowers for your favorite mom. Go and make a card to go with it. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
